Cup of the Ayutthaya Kingdom
アユタヤの杯
It was made during the Ayutthaya Dynasty from the 13th to the 15th century and was excavated from the riverbed. When you pour tea or sake into it and drink it, you will smell a slight earthy aroma, but please enjoy that as well. I always think that the line between how far one can use antiquities as tableware is a matter of personal preference, but I think that trying it out just once will lower the psychological hurdle and broaden the scope of your choice of utensils. However, I think you can use it as an incense burner at first.
