It is assumed to be a piece of Tokoname ware pottery from the Kamakura period or thereabouts. It is probably part of a large plate. It is beautiful in both texture and shape, so it can be used as an incense stand or beautifully displayed as an objet d'art. A small brass incense holder is included.
