Sungkoroku - Old Thai Pottery
Pottery fired at the ancient Thai kiln site of Sawankhalok, Thailand, from the 14th century onward. It was imported to Japan from the Momoyama period (1573-1600) to the early Edo period (1603-1868), and was called Sungkoroku, and was prized by the tea masters of the time as tea ceremony utensils.
宋胡録
14世紀以降にタイのスワンカロークで焼かれた陶器。桃山時代から江戸時代の初め頃にかけて日本に伝わり、宋胡録と呼び、当時の茶人たちは茶道具に見立てて珍重したと伝えられています。
