A shard from a stoneware plate crafted in the Seto region during the Edo period. We present it here as an incense holder. Its refined, tension-filled form and intricate crackle glaze (kan'nyū) create a captivating surface with quiet beauty. The size is practical—large enough to securely catch falling ash, making it highly functional as an incense holder.Though introduced for incense use, it also serves beautifully as a plate for sashimi or other delicate dishes. The raw, powerful presence of the stoneware fragment enhances the elegance of fine food, adding a unique and timeless character to your table.
A versatile piece that invites creativity—how you use it is entirely up to you.
